History
Haiti is a beautiful island country located East of Cuba in the Caribbean. It shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. Haiti is considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. With the recent 7.0 earth quake that devastated Haiti on January 12, 2010 Haiti has caught the attention, the concern and support of the world.
There is an urgent need to aid the Haitian people. Prior to the earth quake there were over 300,000 orphans. It is unclear how many additional children have been orphaned due to the devastaion of the earthquake. But we know there are and will be many children that will need loving and caring homes.
Foyer de Sion has over 200 children in their care ranging in age from Newborns to 15 years. If you would like information about adopting a child or children from Foyer De Sion please reach out to one of the Agencies that we work with. Be advised that as of January 12, 2010 the Joint Council on International Children's Services posted the following announcement regarding Haitian adoptions.
